The Verifind OBD GPS tracking Device is a plug and play GPS tracker. Normally no or little installation is required saving on installation fees.
The OBD GPS Tracker is fast and easy to install and can be easily installed into most late model cars, vans and trucks with No wiring required,
allowing you to plug directly into your Vehicle's OBDII Port, that most modern Vehicles will have.
The OBD port can be normally found on the drivers side under the steering wheel.
With the OBD extender, you can also hide the GPS Tracker out of sight.
Powered from the OBD port and with a built in battery, there's on need to charge up batteries or install wiring.
Verifind's OBD GPS tracker supports Vehicle Positioning, Tracking, Driver behaviour, Speed Alerts, Geo Fencing, and other usefully reports.
If the GPS Tracker is removed, you will receive an Alert Message advising you of the removal.
Verifind has available, 2G, 3G and 4G vehicle GPS trackers. (2G & 3G Gps Trackers availble upon request only) All our GPS Trackers have the same functionality, with the only difference between all the GPS devices is the Mobile Network that the GPS Data is sent over.
The Mobile Networks have no impact on GPS Tracking or GPS location, they are just the communication medium used by the GPS unit to talk to the central GPS server that receives the data.
2G units are the cheapest GPS Trackers available as this is oldest technology with a limited lifespan. 2G mobile networks around the world are slowly being turned off. The current forecast for NZ is around the end of 2025.
When the last 2G Mobile Network in NZ is turned off, the 2G GPS Tracking Devices will no longer work and will need to be replaced.
All GPS Tracking Devices support both Live Tracking and Locate on Demand.
Additionally, if you only require a Locate on Demand GPS Tracking service with no tracking or reporting requirements, then purchase the GPS unit only, supply your own SIM and have no ongoing monthly GPS service charges.

If you require the flexibility of a Wireless GPS Tracker then you have 2 alternatives. A rechargable or Long Battery Life tracking device.
Our Rechargable GPS Tracking Device has a inbuilt battery charged via a USb port. This Gps Tracker is ideal if you require live GPS Tracking.
Depending upon usage, the Rechargable GPS Tracker will last anywhere from 3 - 14 days before requiring a recharge.
Long battery life wireless GPS devices are not suitable for live GPS tracking as they are designed for for assets that do not move often or are not required to be tracked in real time.
With low reporting requirements the Wireless Trackers battery life may last up to 5 years*. Once the battery goes flat then the Battery can not be recharged and needs to be replaced.
Wireless GPS tracking devices require no external connections and can be placed in backpacks, in glove boxes, on dashboards or anywhere where signals from the GPS satellites may be received.
In addition to being dust and water resistant, there are no external plugs that may corrode and degrade performance over time.
Designed specifically for trailer tracking our Trailer Tracking GPS unit is IP68 waterproof rated and has a 5200mah built in battery with quick charging function
built into the GPS Tracker.
It works as a long standby Wireless GPS tracking device when the trailer is separated and as a real time GPS tracking device when the trailer and Vehicle are connected
Special working mode for trailer: when the trailer is separated, The Trailer GPS Tracker will use it's own standby battery and send gps data once a day,
but when the trailer tail is connected to a vehicle, The GPS Tracker will use trailer power and send gps data every 60S.
